Miriam Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDEFF GGHH IIJK LLMNOOPPQQ

White clouds and buds and birds and beesA
Low wind notes piped from southern seasA
Brought thee a rose white offeringB
A flower like baby with the SpringB
-
She as her April gave to theeC
A soul of winsome vagaryC
Large heavenly eyes and tender whenceD
Shone the sweet mind's soft influenceE
Where all the winning woman thatF
Welled up in tears high sparkling satF
-
She with the dower of her MayG
Gave thee a nature that could swayG
Wild men with kindness and a prideH
Which all their littleness deniedH
-
Limbs wrought of lilies and a faceI
Bright as a rose flower's and a graceI
God taught that clings like happinessJ
In each chaste billow of thy dressK
-
She as her heavy June brought downL
Night deeps of hair thy brow to crownL
A voice so mild and musicalM
It is as water notes that fallN
O'er bars of pearl and in thy heartO
Stamped like a jewel that should startO
From thy pure face in smiles and breakP
Like radiance when it laughed or spakeP
Affection that is born of truthQ
And goodness which make very youthQ
