All were in league to capture LoveA
The rock the stream the treeB
The very Month was leader ofA
The whole conspiracyB
-
It led Love where wild waters metC
And tree hugged close to treeB
And where the dew and sunbeam letC
Their lips meet rapturouslyD
-
And then it shouted 'Here he isE
O wild Wind in the treeB
Come clasp him now and kiss and kissF
And call the flowers to see '-
-
And there on every side the woodG
Rushed out in flower and treeB
And that is how I've understoodG
The Springtime came to beB
