Joy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ACAC ADAD EFEF

What were this life without herA
Joy whose young face is sweetB
With dreams that flit about herA
And rapture wild of feetB
-
With hope that knows no languorA
And love that knows no sighsC
And mirth like some rich angerA
High sparkling in her eyesC
-
Come bid adieu to SorrowA
And arm in arm with JoyD
We 'll journey towards TomorrowA
And let no Care decoyD
-
Our souls from all clean PleasuresE
That take from Time's lean handF
The hour glass he treasuresE
And change to gold its sandF
