In June Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDEAFGFGHH

Deep in the West a berry coloured barA
Of sunset gleams against which one tall firB
Is outlined dark above which courierB
Of dew and dreams burns dusk's appointed starA
And flash on flash as when the elves wage warC
In Goblinland the fireflies bombardD
The stillness and like spirits o'er the swardE
The glimmering winds bring fragrance from afarA
And now withdrawn into the hill wood beltsF
A whippoorwill while with attendant statesG
Of purple and silver slow the great moon meltsF
Into the night to show me where she waitsG
Like some slim moonbeam by the old beech treeH
Who keeps her lips fresh as a flower for meH
