In Ages Past Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDEFDE

I Stood upon a height and listened toA
The solemn psalmody of many pinesB
And with the sound I seemed to see long linesB
Of mountains rise blue peak on cloudy blueA
And hear the roar of torrents hurling throughA
Riven ravines or from the crags' gaunt spinesB
Pouring wild hair where as an eyeball shinesB
A mountain pool shone clear and cold of hueA
And then my soul remembered felt how onceC
In ages past 't was here that I a FaunD
Startled an Oread at her morning bathE
Who stood revealed her beauty like the sun'sF
Veiled in her hair heavy with dews of dawnD
Through which like stars burnt blue her eyes' bright wrathE
