Her Vivien Eyes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABCDE FFFCCCC CCCCGCG

Her Vivien eyes beware bewareA
Though they be stars a deadly snareA
They set beneath her night of hairA
Regard them not lest drawing nearB
As sages once in old ChaldeeC
Thou shouldst become a worshiperD
And they thy evil destinyE
-
Her Vivien eyes away awayF
Though they be springs remorseless theyF
Gleam underneath her brow's bright dayF
Turn turn aside whate'er the costC
Lest in their deeps thou lures beholdC
Through which thy captive soul were lostC
As was young Hylas once of oldC
-
Her Vivien eyes take heed take heedC
Though they be bibles none may readC
Therein of God or Holy CreedC
Look look away lest thou be cursedC
As Merlin was romances tellG
And in their sorcerous spells immersedC
Hoping for Heaven thou chance on HellG
