Heart's Encouragement Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACAB DEDEFE AGAGAG HAIAIA

Nor time nor all his minionsA
Of sorrow or of painB
Shall dash with vulture pinionsA
The cup she fills againC
Within the dream dominionsA
Of life where she doth reignB
-
Clothed on with bright desireD
And hope that makes her strongE
With limbs of frost and fireD
She sits above all wrongE
Her heart a living lyreF
Her love its only songE
-
And in the waking pausesA
Of weariness and careG
And when the dark hour draws hisA
Black weapon of despairG
Above effects and causesA
We hear its music thereG
-
The longings life hath near itH
Of love we yearn to seeA
The dreams it doth inheritI
Of immortalityA
Are callings of her spiritI
To something yet to beA
