'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
First thing that you'll know it's hereB
Nurse can tell it don't know howA
By the smell o' th' atmosphereC
Shivery and never clearC
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
-
Boy next door he says he knowsD
By the ice at morning wowA
And the way the old wind blowsD
And the way it snows and snowsD
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
-
Cook she knows it by her achesE
So she says or anyhowA
By the many cakes she bakesE
Fruit cakes nut and pepper cakesE
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
'Tis n't long till Christmas nowA
-
And I know it yes I doF
By the rooms they won't allowA
Me to go in closets tooF
They keep locked I don't know whoF
'Tis n't long till Christmas nowA
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
-
Father says he knows it byG
Money and his purse and howA
Much it takes for things oh myG
Little boys come mighty highG
'Tis n't long till Christmas nowA
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
-
Mother knows it she declaresH
By the sounds at night the rowI
In the parlor on the stairsH
Santa carrying in his waresH
'T is n't long till Christmas nowA
