Experience Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBB CDCDDD EFEFFF AGAGGG

Three memories hold us everA
With longing and with painB
Three memories Time has neverA
Been able to restrainB
That in each life remainB
A part of heart and brainB
-
The first 's of that which taught usC
To follow Beauty stillD
Who to the Fountain brought usC
Of ancient good and illD
And bade us drink our fillD
At Life's wild running rillD
-
The second one that 's drivenE
Of anguish and delightF
Holds that which showed us HeavenE
Through Love's triumphant mightF
And deep beneath its heightF
Hell sighing in the nightF
-
The third none follows afterA
Its form is veiled and dimG
Its eyes are tears and laughterA
That look beyond the rimG
Of earth and point to HimG
Who rules the SeraphimG
