Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCCDDC A EFEFFEEF A EGEGGEEG

I dreamed last night once more I stoodB
Knee deep in purple clover leasC
Your old home glimmered thro' its woodB
Of dark and melancholy treesC
Where ev'ry sudden summer breezeC
That wantoned o'er the solitudeD
The water's melody pursuedD
And sleepy hummings of the beesC

-
And ankle deep in violet bloomsE
Methought I saw you standing thereF
A lawny light among the gloomsE
A crown of sunlight on your hairF
Wild songsters singing every whereF
Made lightning with their glossy plumesE
About you clung the wild perfumesE
And swooned along the shining airF

-
And then you called me and my earsE
Grew flattered with the music ledG
In fancy back to sweeter yearsE
Far sweeter years that now are deadG
And at your summons fast I spedG
Buoyant as one a goal who nearsE
Ah lost dead love I woke in tearsE
For as I neared you farther fledG
