Discovery Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEE GEGE EEEE

What is it now that I shall seekA
Where woods dip downward in the hillsB
A mossy nook a ferny creekA
And May among the daffodilsB
-
Or in the valley's vistaed glowC
Past rocks of terraced trumpet vinesD
Shall I behold her coming slowC
Sweet May among the columbinesD
-
With redbud cheeks and bluet eyesE
Big eyes the homes of happinessF
To meet me with the old surpriseE
Her wild rose hair all bonnetlessE
-
Who waits for me where note for noteG
The birds make glad the forest treesE
A dogwood blossom at her throatG
My May among th' anemonesE
-
As sweetheart breezes kiss the bloomsE
And dews caress the moon's pale beamsE
My soul shall drink her lips' perfumesE
And know the magic of her dreamsE
