Dirge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAB CDCDCD EFGFGF HIHIHD

WHAT shall her silence keepA
Under the sunB
Here where the willows weepA
And waters runB
Here where she lies asleepA
And all is doneB
-
Lights when the tree top swingsC
Scents that are sownD
Sounds of the wood bird's wingsC
And the bee's droneD
These be her comfortingsC
Under the stoneD
-
What shall watch o'er her hereE
When day is fledF
Here when the night is nearG
And skies are redF
Here where she lieth dearG
And young and deadF
-
Shadows and winds that spillH
Dew and the tuneI
Of the wild whippoorwillH
And the white moonI
These be the watchers stillH
Over her stoneD
