Death Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGI

THROUGH some strange sense of sight or touchA
I find what all have found beforeB
The presence I have feared so muchA
The unknown's immaterial doorB
-
I seek not and it comes to meC
The do not know the thing I findD
The fillet of fatalityC
Drops from my brows that made me blindD
-
Point forward now or backward lightE
The way I take I may not chooseF
Out of the night into the nightE
And in the night no certain clewsF
-
But on the future dim and vastG
And dark with dust and sacrificeH
Death's towering ruin from the pastG
Makes black the land that round me liesI
