Broken Music Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBBCDDCEFFGHIIH| There it lies broken as a shard | A |
| What breathed sweet music yesterday | B |
| The source all mute has passed away | B |
| With its masked meanings still unmarred | B |
| But melody will never cease | C |
| Above the vast cerulean sea | D |
| Of heaven created harmony | D |
| Rings and re echoes its release | C |
| So this dumb instrument that lies | E |
| All powerless with spirit flown | F |
| Beyond the veil of the Unknown | F |
| To chant its love hymned litanies | G |
| Though it may thrill us here no more | H |
| With cadenced strain in other spheres | I |
| Will rise above the vanquished years | I |
| And breathe its music as before | H |
