Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEEED FFFGHIHG JJJKLLLK HHHMEEEM NNNOHHHO HHHJLLLJ

The wild oxalisA
Among the valleysB
Lifts up its chaliceC
Of pink and pearlD
And balsam breathingE
From out their sheathingE
The myriad wreathingE
Green leaves uncurlD
-
The whole world brightensF
With spring that lightensF
The foot that frightensF
The building thrushG
Where water tossesH
On ferns and mossesI
The squirrel crossesH
The beechen hushG
-
And vision on visionJ
Like ships elysianJ
On some white missionJ
Sails cloud on cloudK
With scents of cloverL
The winds brim overL
And in the coverL
The stream is loudK
-
'Twixt bloom that blanchesH
The orchard branchesH
Old farms and ranchesH
Gleam in the gloamM
'Mid blossoms blowingE
Through fields for sowingE
The cows come lowingE
The cows come homeM
-
Where ways are narrowN
A vesper sparrowN
Flits like an arrowN
Of living rhymeO
The red sun poisesH
And farmyard noisesH
Mix with glad voicesH
Of milking timeO
-
When dusk disposesH
Of all its rosesH
And darkness closesH
And work is doneJ
A moon's white featherL
In starry weatherL
And two togetherL
Whose hearts are oneJ
