Aprilian Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABCBC D EFEFEAEAAAAA D GHGHEIEIJAKA

Come with me where April twilightsA
Wigwam blue the April hillsA
Where the shadows and the high lightsA
Swarm the woods that Springtime fillsA
Tents where dwell the tribes of beautyB
Tasseled scouts whose camp fires glowC
Over leagues of wild flower bootyB
Rescued from the camps of snowC
-
IID
-
A thousand windflowers blowingE
They print the ways with palest pearlF
As if with raiment flowingE
Here passed some glimmering girlF
A thousand bluets breakingE
They take the heart with glad surpriseA
As if some wild girl wakingE
Looked at you with bewildered eyesA
A thousand buds and flowersA
A thousand birds and beesA
What spirit haunts the bowersA
What dream that no one seesA
-
IIID
-
Her kirtle is white as the wild plum bloomG
Her girdle is pink as the crabH
Her face is sweet as a wood perfumeG
Or haw that the sunbeams stabH
Her boddice is green as the beetle's wingE
That jewels the light o' the sunI
And the earth and the air around her singE
Wherever her mad feet runI
Her beautiful feet that bloom and budJ
And print with blossoms each placeA
Oh let us follow them into the woodK
And gaze on her face to faceA
