Answered Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCBCA DDEFEFD GGHIJIG KKLMLLL NNOPOPN

Do you remember how that night drew onA
That night of sorrow when the stars looked wanA
As eyes that gaze reproachful in a dreamB
Loved eyes long lost and sadder than the graveC
How through the heaven stole the moon's gray gleamB
Like a nun's ghost down a cathedral naveC
Do you remember how that night drew onA
-
Do you remember the hard words then saidD
Said to the living now denied the deadD
That left me dead long long before I diedE
In heart and spirit me your words had slainF
Telling how love to my poor life had liedE
Armed with the dagger of a pale disdainF
Do you remember the hard words then saidD
-
Do you remember now this night draws downG
The threatening heavens that the lightnings crownG
With wrecks of thunder when no moon doth giveH
The clouds wild witchery as in a roomI
Behind the sorrowful arras still may liveJ
The pallid secret of the haunted gloomI
Do you remember now this night draws downG
-
Do you remember now it comes to passK
Your form is bowed as is the wind swept grassK
And death hath won from you that confidenceL
Denied to life now your sick soul rebelsM
Against your pride with tragic eloquenceL
That self crowned demon of the heart's fierce hellsL
Do you remember now it comes to passL
-
Do you remember Bid your soul be stillN
Here passion hath surrendered unto willN
And flesh to spirit Quiet your wild tongueO
And wilder heart Your kiss is naught to meP
The instrument love gave you lies unstrungO
Silent forsaken of all melodyP
Do you remember Bid your soul be stillN
