Annisquam Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDECDE

Old days old ways old homes beside the seaA
Old gardens with old fashioned flowers aflameB
Poppy petunia and many a nameB
Of many a flower of fragrant pedigreeA
Old hills that glow with blue and barberryA
And rocks and pines that stand on guard the sameB
Immutable as when the Pilgrim cameB
And here laid firm foundations of the FreeA
The sunlight makes the dim dunes hills of snowC
And every vessel's sail a twinkling wingD
Glancing the violet ocean far awayE
The world is full of color and of glowC
A mighty canvas whereon God doth flingD
The flawless picture of a perfect dayE
