Ambition Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCCBBCDEDEFF

Now to my lips lift then some opiateA
Of black forgetfulness while in thy gazeB
Still lures the loveless beauty that betraysB
And in thy mouth the music that is hateC
No promise more hast thou to make me waitC
No smile to cozen my sick heart with praiseB
Far far behind thee stretch laborious daysB
And far before thee labors soon and lateC
Thine is the fen fire that we deem a starD
Flying before us ever fugitiveE
Thy mocking policy still holds afarD
And thine the voice to which our longings giveE
Hope's siren face that speaks us sweet and fairF
Only to lead us captives to DespairF
