Amadis And Oriana Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A ABABCACAC DEEEFEFEF GHGHIFIFI JEJEAKALA

From 'Beltenebros at Miraflores'A
-
O sunset from the springs of starsA
Draw down thy cataracts of goldB
And belt their streams with burning barsA
Of ruby on which flame is rolledB
Drench dingles with laburnum lightC
Drown every vale in violet blazeA
Rain rose light down and poppy brightC
Die downward o'er the hills of hazeA
And bring at last the stars of nightC
-
The stars and moon that silver worldD
Which like a spirit faces westE
Her foam white feet with light empearledE
Bearing white flame within her breastE
Earth's sister sphere of fire and snowF
Who shows to Earth her heart's pale heatE
And bids her mark its pulses glowF
And hear their crystal currents beatE
With beauty lighting all belowF
-
O cricket with thy elfin pipeG
That tinkles in the grass and grainH
And dove pale buds that dropping stripeG
The glen's blue night and smell of rainH
O nightingale that so dost wailI
On yonder blossoming branch of snowF
Thrill fill the wild deer haunted daleI
Where Oriana walking slowF
Comes thro' the moonlight dreamy paleI
-
She comes to meet me Earth and airJ
Grow radiant with another lightE
In her dark eyes and her dark hairJ
Are all the stars and all the nightE
She comes I clasp her and it isA
As if no grief had ever beenK
In all the world for us who kissA
There are no other women or menL
But Oriana and AmadisA
