After Long Grief And Pain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBBBBBBCDECDE

There is a place hung o'er with summer boughsA
And drowsy skies wherein the gray hawk sleepsB
Where waters flow within whose lazy deepsB
Like silvery prisms that the winds arouseB
The minnows twinkle where the bells of cowsB
Tinkle the stillness and the bob white keepsB
Calling from meadows where the reaper reapsB
And children's laughter haunts an old time houseB
A place where life wears ever an honest smellC
Of hay and honey sun and elder bloomD
Like some dear modest girl within her hairE
Where with our love for comrade we may dwellC
Far from the city's strife whose cares consumeD
Oh take my hand and let me lead you thereE
