Sullen gold down all the skyA
In the roses sultry muskB
Nightingales hid in the duskB
Yonder sob and sighA
-
You are here and I could weepC
Weep for joy and sufferingD
Where is he He'd have me singD
There he sits asleepC
-
Think not of him he is deadE
For the moment to us twainF
He were dead but for this painF
Drumming in my headE
-
Am I happy Ask the fireG
When it bursts its bounds and thrillsH
Some mad hours as it willsH
If those hours tireG
-
He had gold As for the restI
Well you know how they were setJ
Saying that I must forgetJ
And 'twas for the bestI
-
I forget but let it goK
Kiss me as you did of oldL
There your kisses are not coldL
Can you love me soK
-
Knowing what I am to himM
Sitting in his gouty chairN
On the breezy terrace whereN
Amber fire flies swimM
-
Yes Your cheek a tear drop wetsK
But your kisses on my lipO
Fall as warm as bees that sipO
Sweets from violetsK
-
See the moon has risen whiteP
As this bursten lily hereQ
Rocking on the dusky mereR
Like a silent lightP
-
Let us walk We soon must partS
All too soon but he may missK
Give me but another kissK
It will heat my heartS
-
And the bitter winter thereN
So we part my LauncelotT
My true knight and am I notT
Your true GuinevereN
-
Oft they parted thus they tellU
In that mystical romanceK
Were they placed think you perchanceK
For such love in hellU
-
No it can not can not beV
Love is God and God is loveW
And they live and love aboveW
Guinevere and heV
-
I must go now See there fellU
Molten into purple lightP
One wild star Kiss me good nightP
And once more farewellU
