A Fairy Cavalier Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG HIHI JKJK LMLM NKNK

By a mushroom in the moonA
White as bud from budded berryB
Silver buckles on my shoonA
Ho the moon shines merryB
-
Here I sit and drink my grogC
Stocks and tunic ouphen yellowD
Skinned from belly of a frogC
Quite a fine fierce fellowD
-
My good cloak a bat's wing gaveE
And a beetle's wings my bonnetF
And a moth's head grew the braveE
Gallant feather on itG
-
Faith I have rich jewels rareH
Rings and carcanets all studdedI
Thick with spiders' eyes that glareH
Like great rubies bloodedI
-
And I swear sirs by my bladeJ
Sirrah a good stabbing hangerK
From a hornet's stinger madeJ
When I am in angerK
-
Fill the lichen pottles upL
Honey pressed from hearts of rosesM
Cheek by jowl up with each cupL
Till we hide our nosesM
-
Good sirs marry 'tis the cockN
Hey away the moon's lost fireK
Ho the cock our dial and clockN
Hide we 'neath this brierK
