Made the blood in her veins like his snowC

And the West with his smiles and his artD
Poured his honey of life in her heartD

And the East had in whisperings toldE
His secrets more precious than goldE

So she grew to a beautiful thoughtF
Which a godhead of love had wroughtF

As strange how the power begot itG
As why but to kill it and rot itG
