The Ghosts In The Heart Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIJ KLML GNGN

They came in the hush of the midnightA
In the glare of the noonday startB
Out from the graves we made themC
The graves we made in the heartB
-
There is love with its fickle fanciesD
Its grave was so wide and deepE
And we heaped the mound with oblivionF
But the soul of love could not sleepE
-
And hate ah we buried it deeperG
Than all the rest of the trainH
But one word through memory flashingI
And its ghost comes back againJ
-
There are phantoms of sunshiny hoursK
That fled when the summer time fledL
And specters that mock while they haunt usM
Long buried but never deadL
-
And ever and ever an hourG
Will come that the heart wraiths controlN
Till down from Eternity's towerG
A banshee shall ring for the soulN
