Rocking The Baby Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBABADEDFGHGAG AIJIKLMLKNKMKBOBAB

I hear her rocking the babyA
Her room is just next to mineB
And I fancy I feel the dimpled armsC
That round her neck entwineB
As she rocks and rocks the babyA
In the room just next to mineB
I hear her rocking the babyA
Each day when the twilight comesD
And I know there's a world of blessing and loveE
In the baby bye she humsD
I can see the restless fingersF
Playing with mamma's ringsG
And the sweet little smiling pouting mouthH
That to hers in kissing clingsG
As she rocks and sings to the babyA
And dreams as she rocks and singsG
-
I hear her rocking the babyA
Slower and slower nowI
And I know she is leaving her good night kissJ
On its eyes and cheek and browI
From her rocking rocking rockingK
I wonder would she startL
Could she know through the wall between usM
She is rocking on a heartL
While my empty arms are achingK
For a form they may not pressN
And my emptier heart is breakingK
In its desolate lonelinessM
I list to the rocking rockingK
In the room just next to mineB
And breathe a prayer in silenceO
At a mother's broken shrineB
For the woman who rocks her babyA
In the room just next to mineB
