Light Beyond Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG HIHI AJAJ

Is your heart bowed down with sorrowA
Does your lot the hardest seemB
Think you of a brighter morrowA
Of a fairer future dreamB
-
Have your prospects all been blightedC
Has each promise proved a snareD
Deepest wrongs are sometime rightedC
Never yield you to despairD
-
Has the slanderer's tongue unsparingE
Ruthless tarnished with its stainF
Was your good name worth the wearingE
Go and win it back againG
-
Would you rest where sunshine lingersH
You must toil the darkness throughI
Only work with willing fingersH
Only live you brave and trueI
-
Never care or trouble borrowA
Trouble's real if it seemsJ
Ever see a bright to morrowA
Though you see it but in dreamsJ
