Adam And The Rib Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Why did Adam need EveA
Did God create her not as a loverB
But as a filler of a void of solitaryC
Although he had everythingD
Nothing was ever enoughE
No angelic beingD
No alluring beast pleased his rapacious mindF
Not even one formed of his own ribG
Part of himH
With himH
Maybe he lived like this as he was crafted from dustI
So hollowly devoid of life he needed to engulf himself in other wondersJ
But nothing ever truly satiates does itK
TemptationL
A clasping hand dragged his mindless figureB
And still his tasteM
His hungerB
His yearn for fulfilment remainsN
As all men do I have learntO
He blamed his faults upon his ribG
His formP
His only truly soulful partQ
-
He never wanted herB
He never needed herB
-
She was nothing but a placeholderB

Poet's note: I wrote this poem about the story of Adam and Eve from Genesis. You see, everyone has always blamed Eve for the faults. I however believe both were to blame. This poem is my thoughts on that story. Enjoy!
