Gone pure in heart unto thy fitting home | B |
Where nought of ill can follow O'er thy life | C |
There swept no stain and o'er its placid close | D |
No shadow | E |
As for us who saw thee move | F |
From childhood onward loving and serene | G |
To every duty faithful we who feel | H |
The bias toward self too often make | I |
Our course unequal or beset with thorns | J |
Give thanks to Him the Giver of all good | K |
For what thou wert but most for what thou art | L |

Thy meek and reverent nature cheer'd the heart | L |
Of hoary Age even in thine early bloom | M |
And with sweet tenderness of filial care | N |
And perfect sympathy thy shielding arm | O |
Pillow'd a Mother's head till life went out | P |
We yield thee back with sound of holy hymns | Q |
Flowers in thy hand and bosom parting gifts | R |
Of Spring that makes our earth so beautiful | S |
Faintly prefiguring thine eternal gain | T |
Of flowers that never fade and skies that need | U |
Not sun nor moon to light them | V |
So farewell | W |
Our grief is selfish yet it hath its way | X |
Nor can we stand beside thine open grave | Y |
Without a tear | N |
Yet still doth chasten'd faith | Z |
Ask help of God to render back with praise | A2 |
A soul to which He gave the victory | B2 |
