In Memoriam. - Miss Frances Wyman Tracy, Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDC EFGF HIJK KLML NOPQ

Adopted daughter of Mrs WILLIAM TRACY died at New York in agedA
-
-
O young and beautiful thy stepB
Was light with fairy graceC
And well the music of thy voiceD
Accorded with thy faceC
-
And blent with those attractive charmsE
How fair it was to seeF
Thy tenderness for her who fill'dG
A Mother's place to theeF
-
Yet all the pure and holy tiesH
Thus round thy being woveI
They are not lost they are not deadJ
They have a life aboveK
-
What though the sleepless care of loveK
Might not avail to saveL
And sorrow with her dropping tearM
Keeps vigil o'er thy graveL
-
Faith hath a rainbow for the cloudN
A solace for the painO
A promise from the Book DivineP
To rise nor part againQ
