Harbor Dawn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAABBCC DDDEEDD CCCFFGG

There's a hush and stillness calm and deepA
For the waves have wooed all the winds to sleepA
In the shadow of headlands bold and steepA
But some gracious spirit has taken the cupB
Of the crystal sky and filled it upB
With rosy wine and in it afarC
Has dissolved the pearl of the morning starC
-
The girdling hills with the night mist coldD
In purple raiment are hooded and stoledD
And smit on the brows with fire and goldD
And in the distance the wide white seaE
Is a thing of glamor and wizardryE
With its wild heart lulled to a passing restD
And the sunrise cradled upon its breastD
-
With the first red sunlight on mast and sparC
A ship is sailing beyond the barC
Bound to a land that is fair and farC
And those who wait and those who goF
Are brave and hopeful for well they knowF
Fortune and favor the ship shall winG
That crosses the bar when the dawn comes inG
