For Little Things Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHCH IJKJ LMNM

Last night I looked across the hillsA
And through an arch of darkling pineB
Low swung against a limpid westC
I saw a young moon shineB
-
And as I gazed there blew a windD
Loosed where the sylvan shadows stirE
Bringing delight to soul and senseF
The breath of dying firE
-
This morn I saw a dancing hostG
Of poppies in a garden wayH
And straight my heart was mirth possessedC
And I was glad as theyH
-
I heard a song across the seaI
As sweet and faint as echoes areJ
And glimpsed a poignant happinessK
No care of earth might marJ
-
Dear God our life is beautifulL
In every splendid gift it bringsM
But most I thank Thee humbly forN
The joy of little thingsM
