An April Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCC DCDC EFEF GCGC

The moon comes up o'er the deeps of the woodsA
And the long low dingles that hide in the hillsB
Where the ancient beeches are moist with budsC
Over the pools and the whimpering rillsC
-
And with her the mists like dryads that creepD
From their oaks or the spirits of pine hid springsC
Who hold while the eyes of the world are asleepD
With the wind on the hills their gay revellingsC
-
Down on the marshlands with flicker and glowE
Wanders Will o' the Wisp through the nightF
Seeking for witch gold lost long agoE
By the glimmer of goblin lantern lightF
-
The night is a sorceress dusk eyed and dearG
Akin to all eerie and elfin thingsC
Who weaves about us in meadow and mereG
The spell of a hundred vanished SpringsC
