The Brown Thrush Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAAA AABBAAA AABBAAA

There's a merry brown thrush sitting up in the treeA
He's singing to me He's singing to meA
And what does he say little girl little boyB
Oh the world's running over with joyB
Don't you hear Don't you seeA
Hush Look In my treeA
I'm as happy as happy can beA
-
And the brown thrush keeps singing A nest do you seeA
And five eggs hid by me in the juniper treeA
Don't meddle don't touch little girl little boyB
Or the world will lose some of its joyB
Now I'm glad now I'm freeA
And I always shall beA
If you never bring sorrow to meA
-
So the merry brown thrush sings away in the treeA
To you and to me to you and to meA
And he sings all the day little girl little boyB
Oh the world's running over with joyB
But long it won't beA
Don't you know Don't you seeA
Unless we are as good as can beA
