Spanish Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFGFGDEDE

Nay Inez no more persuadeA
Those are sounds that to glory should moveB
Ah ne'er for a warrior madeA
Were the garlands thy fondness woveC
Wake arouse 'tis the battle's roarD
'Tis its light'ning afar I seeE
I return with life no moreD
Or my country thou shalt be freeE
Yet Inez in other landsF
When around war's banners shall streamG
When rush forth our conquering bandsF
All radiant with bravery's beamG
Yes then midst the battle's roarD
I can still spare one thought for theeE
But we meet again no moreD
Till my country thou shalt be freeE
