Mater Dolorosa Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAAAB CDCCCD

O clinging hands and eyes where sleep has setA
Her seal of peace go not from me so soonB
O little feet take not the pathway yetA
The dust of other feet with tears is wetA
And sorrow wanders there with slow regretA
O eager feet take not the path so soonB
-
Take it not yet for death is at the endC
And kingly death will wait until you comeD
Full soon the feet of youth will turn the bendC
The eyes will see where followed footsteps wendC
Go not so soon though death be found a friendC
For kingly death will wait until you comeD
