Reveillé Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

What sudden bugle calls us in the nightA
And wakes us from a dream that we had shapedB
Flinging us sharply up against a fightA
We thought we had escapedB
-
It is no easy waking and we winC
No final peace our victories are fewD
But still imperative forces pull us inC
And sweep us somehow throughD
-
Summoned by a supreme and confident powerE
That wakes our sleeping courage like a blowF
We rise half shaken to the challenging hourE
And answer it and goF
