Feuerzauber Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH

I never knew the earth had so much goldA
The fields run over with it and this hillB
Hoary and oldA
Is young with buoyant blooms that flame and thrillB
-
Such golden fires such yellow lo how goodC
This spendthrift world and what a lavish GodD
This fringe of woodC
Blazing with buttercup and goldenrodD
-
You too beloved are changed Again I seeE
Your face grow mystical as on that nightF
You turned to meE
And all the trembling world and you were whiteF
-
Aye you are touched your singing lips grow dumbG
The fields absorb you color you entireH
And you becomeG
A goddess standing in a world of fireH
