Fiat Lux Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCAACCADEEDED| Then that dread angel near the awful throne | A |
| Leaving the seraphs ranged in flaming tiers | B |
| Winged his dark way through those unpinioned spheres | C |
| And on the void's black beetling edge alone | A |
| Stood with raised wings and listened for the tone | A |
| Of God's command to reach his eager ears | C |
| While Chaos wavered for she felt her years | C |
| Unsceptered now in that convulsive zone | A |
| Night trembled And as one hath oft beheld | D |
| A lamp within a vase light up its gloom | E |
| So God's voice lighted him from heel to plume | E |
| Let there be light It said and Darkness quelled | D |
| Shrunk noiseless backward in her monstrous womb | E |
| Through vasts unwinnowed by the wings of eld | D |
