Golden Days Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDF GHGH IJIJ KDKD

There are days of summer sunshineA
Of warm and sunny weatherB
When the hedge is full of hawthornC
And hills are glad with heatherB
-
There are days of silent sadnessD
Of frost and snow and rainE
When we fear that summer's gladnessD
Will never come againF
-
And now our songs are minor keyG
And now in merry tuneH
The windward side will change to leeG
And January to JuneH
-
Day and night the sun is shiningI
Though he may hide his headJ
Each cloud has a silver liningI
The flowers are asleep not deadJ
-
Every day may have its playtimeK
Made bright by cheerful laysD
And life be one long MaytimeK
A year of golden daysD
