Oh, Gray And Tender Is The Rain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEAA BBAA

Oh gray and tender is the rainA
That drips drips on the paneA
A hundred things come in the doorB
The scent of herbs the thought of yoreB
-
I see the pool out in the grassC
A bit of broken glassC
The red flags running wet and straightD
Down to the little flapping gateD
-
Lombardy poplars tall and threeE
Across the road I seeE
There is no loveliness so plainA
As a tall poplar in the rainA
-
But oh the hundred things and moreB
That come in at the doorB
The smack of mint old joy old painA
Caught in the gray and tender rainA
