Let us give thanks to God aboveA
Thanks for expressions of His loveA
Seen in the book of nature grandB
Taught by His love on every handB

For the religion of our LordD
All that is taught us in His wordE

Let us be thankful for a landB
That will for such religion standB
One that protects it by the lawF
One that before it stands in aweG

Thankful for all things let us beH
Though there be woes and miseryH
Lessons they bring us for our goodI
Later 'twill all be understoodI

Thankful for peace o'er land and seaH
Thankful for signs of libertyH
Thankful for homes for life and healthJ
Pleasure and plenty fame and wealthJ
