For blood of Hebrews had been spilt | A |
And justice did demand | A |
Egyptian blood to cleanse the guilt | A |
The firstborn of the land | A |

America how canst thou tell | G |
Thy tale of bondage sore | H |
How blood as rain from Negroes fell | G |
Till many were no more | H |

The blood of Negroes cried so loud | A |
For vengeance from the ground | A |
Till clouds of sorrow wept and bowed | A |
And heaven's anger frowned | A |

No peaceful means 'tis understood | A |

For justice cried 'Slave owners' blood | A |
