On Plucking A Hedgerow Rose. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED

I saw on a hedge that was flourishing byA
A rose that was stirred by the breath of the mornB
So smiling and fragrant it looked there that IA
Was tempted to seize it forgetting the thornB
-
I eagerly plucked it but found to my painC
'Twas scentless and in it an insect was curledD
So I flung it away to the hedgerow againE
And I thought of the joys of this troublesome worldD
