From "vashti" Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAEFGAHIJKALMNOPQ RFSTSSRUV

WHAT thing shall be held up to woman's beautyA
Where are the bounds of it Yea what is allB
The world but an awning scaffolded amidC
The waste perilous Eternity to lodgeD
This Heaven wander'd princess woman's beautyA
The East and West kneel down to thee the NorthE
And South and all for thee their shoulders bearF
The load of fourfold space As yellow mornG
Runs on the slippery waves of the spread seaA
Thy feet are on the griefs and joys of menH
That sheen to be thy causey Out of tearsI
Indeed and blitheness murder and lust and loveJ
Whatever has been passionate in clayK
Thy flesh was tempered Behold in thy bodyA
The yearnings of all men measured and toldL
Insatiate endless agonies of desireM
Given thy flesh the meaning of thy shapeN
What beauty is there but thou makest itO
How is earth good to look on woods and fieldsP
The season's garden and the courageous hillsQ
All this green raft of earth moored in the seasR
The manner of the sun to ride the airF
The stars God has imagined for the nightS
What's this behind them that we cannot nearT
Secret still on the point of being blabbedS
The ghost in the world that flies from being namedS
Where do they get their beauty from all theseR
They do but glaze a lantern lit for manU
And woman's beauty is the flame thereinV
