Written At Lovere, 1755 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDEE

Wisdom slow product of laborious yearsA
The only fruit that life's cold winter bearsB
Thy sacred seeds in vain in youth we layC
By the fierce storm of passion torn awayC
Should some remain in a rich gen'rous soilD
They long lie hid and must be rais'd with toilD
Faintly they struggle with inclement skiesE
No sooner born than the poor planter diesE
