Continuation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEAAFF

So sung the poet in a humble strainA
With empty pockets and a head in painA
Where the soft clime inclin'd the soul to restB
And past'ral images inspir'd the breastB
Apollo listen'd from his heav'nly bowerC
And in his health restor'd express'd his powerC
Pygmalion thus before the Paphian shrineD
With trembling vows address'd the pow'r divineD
Durst hardly make his hopeless wishes knownE
And scarce a greater miracle was shownE
Returning vigour glow'd in every veinA
And gay ideas flutter'd in the brainA
Back he returns to breathe his native airF
And all his first resolves are melted thereF
