Why Weepest Thou? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACCAADEEFGHFD

Why weepest thouA
A few more hours drearyB
And thy spirit the world wearyB
Beneath the icy hand of death must bowA
But the fetters then will fallC
And the soul redeemed from thrallC
Will upwards mount in joy tho' chain d nowA
Why weepest thouA
The great Eternal OneD
Round whom the planets rollE
Beholds each suffering soulE
Prostrate in mortal grief before His ThroneF
He numbers every tearG
He stills the throb of fearH
He guides us to our heavenly native zoneF
The great Eternal OneD
