Life is just fragile
You have it this moment the next it vanishes
The angel roams pruning souls
Good and vile alike
The news of your death though
struck our beings hard
Some part of me broke
No mending can repair it
Your smile died
When sickness destroyed your will to live
It ate and swallowed your hope to survive
Your last days were filled with pain
Pain you wouldn't explain
Because it stole your speech
And left you with tears
Tears that communicated pain
And broke our hearts completely
The angel struck a soul so good
May we meet in the painless life where death has been conquered.
