| Why so calm yet so distressed | A |
| For i've lost my heart in sea | F |
| Dropped it down chasing thee | F |

| Freedom's taste is so bitter | G |
| What we've charished now we litter | G |
| What we loved now we hate | A |
| God please save us from this fate | A |
